About us · The Sanae spirit

Growing in knowledge.
And in confidence.

Sanae, سناء, evokes elevation and nobility. This name reflects our belief: learning opens possibilities, gives children a voice and helps them find their place.

We imagined an online academy where every child has time to try, make mistakes and understand. Small groups to be heard, with teaching adapted to their age so they can move forward with confidence.

Children of Moroccans abroad · In Morocco and beyond

Words that connect us.
Roots that help us grow.

جذورنا

Living abroad, visiting for the holidays or preparing to return: every child can build their own connection with Morocco.

Keeping the connection alive, even at a distance.

Understand relatives, join a conversation and discover everyday expressions. Darija becomes a living connection with family and the Moroccan community.

  • Talk with grandparents and cousins.
  • Discover cultural reference points and everyday life.
  • Explore Modern Standard Arabic for reading and writing.
قِيَم

Cultural roots and values to share.

An age-appropriate Islamic education programme can complement this learning: stories of the prophets, respect, honesty, kindness and responsibility. Stories and discussion encourage understanding and reflection, in line with the family’s expectations. This is separate from Qur’an lessons.

Our approach

Understand the child,
before forming the group.

A child is more than a level or a mark. Their needs, existing skills and way of participating guide our teaching.

01.

An individual assessment

A free video conversation with a few activities to understand existing skills and difficulties.

02.

A compatible group

School support by grade; languages by level and needs. Separate girls’ and boys’ groups, with an age gap of no more than two to three years.

03.

Guided practice

Structured steps, time for questions and explanations rephrased when needed.

04.

Private parent updates

Attendance, work, homework and useful observations. An individual record and an end-of-cycle review to plan what comes next.

Parents’ questions

Helpful answers,
before you begin.

How are groups organised?

School support follows the school grade. Language groups are based on the assessment of level and needs. Girls and boys are always in separate groups, with an age gap of no more than three years. Each group has a maximum of five learners.

Is the assessment an exam?

It is a starting-point review, not a graded exam or certificate. Conversation and a few activities help identify existing skills, areas to work on and the next cycle’s goal.

Will two children from the same family be together?

Not necessarily. The two-learner offer is a launch discount. Each child joins a group that fits their grade or level, age and the separate girls’ and boys’ arrangement.

How are parents kept informed?

Private communication with the legal guardian covers attendance, homework, useful observations and an end-of-cycle review. Lessons take place by video, rather than being broadcast in a large WhatsApp group.

What if no group is suitable?

A waiting list or another time slot may be offered. Enrolment and payment are confirmed under the communicated terms; no unsuitable group is imposed.

When does the launch offer end?

The administration will announce the launch period. Contact the academy for dates and available groups.

What ages are the courses for?

Programmes are for ages 8–16. Groups take account of age, with a maximum three-year gap, and school grade or language level depending on the programme.

Can a complete beginner join a language class?

Yes. The assessment identifies the starting point and a suitable group. A child discovering a language need not have the same skills as one who already speaks it at home.

Which school subjects do you offer?

Mathematics, Life & Earth Sciences, Physics & Chemistry, and History & Geography, depending on grade and available groups. The programme and goals are defined before enrolment.

Can we attend from abroad?

Yes. Lessons are online. We check availability and time differences to suggest a suitable group, including when clocks change in Morocco or your country.

Is the Moroccan roots programme only for families moving back?

No. It also supports children living abroad who want to talk with relatives, and those visiting Morocco for holidays. Darija, Modern Standard Arabic and cultural learning serve different goals.

What is the difference between Darija and Modern Standard Arabic?

Darija focuses on everyday exchanges, listening and conversation. Modern Standard Arabic develops reading, writing and expression in the written and school language. The assessment helps choose where to start.

What does Islamic education cover?

Stories of the prophets, principles and values such as respect, honesty and kindness, discussed in an age-appropriate way. This programme is separate from Qur’an recitation or memorisation classes.

What equipment does my child need?

A computer or tablet, a stable connection, a microphone and ideally headphones. Also prepare a notebook, pen and a quiet space. Connection details are shared before the first lesson.

How many sessions are included?

Each advertised package includes eight sessions over four weeks, with two sessions per week. Times and duration are confirmed with the group before enrolment.

Do we need books or printed materials?

Required resources and exercises are specified for each programme. A notebook is enough for many activities; families are told in advance if printing or particular materials are needed.

How do we book the free assessment?

Prepare a request with your child’s age, grade, programme and availability, then send it to the academy on WhatsApp to arrange an appointment.

What if my child misses a lesson?

Let the academy know as soon as possible. Absence, catch-up and rescheduling terms are shared before enrolment. A replacement session depends on availability and is not automatic.
